West Cornwall Geology Tours – 1/2 to 2 day field trips by Cornwall-born oil and gas consultant, Alec Gwynn, giving an insight into the unique classic geological localities of West Cornwall. Isles of Scilly – With over 100 islands in one of the world's most beautiful archipelagos, there's so much to explore and the islands are easily accessible from West Cornwall for day trips or short breaks.

  • By sea – through the summer months the Scillonian III operates a service from Penzance to St Mary's. www.islesofscilly-travel.co.uk
  • By air (fixed wing) – Frequent flights from Land's End every day, Monday to Saturday www.islesofscilly-travel.co.uk
  • By air (helicopter) – The Penzance/St Mary's route has been operated by helicopter since 1964 and is the world's longest running scheduled helicopter service. There is also a Penzance/Tresco service. The twenty minute flight operates six days a week with regular flights throughout the day. www.islesofscillyhelicopter.com

300 Route – This service operated by First Group, runs from Penzance to Land’s End via St Ives, Zennor and St Just and back to Penzance. Its popular open top Penwith Explorer service (May – Sept) allows you to relax, enjoy the sights from a prime position and hop on and off as often as you like.

Eden Project – Wherever you stay in West Cornwall you can easily reach Cornwall's Eden Project. Enjoy a great day out at this world-famous attraction that sets the scene for the famous gardens of West Cornwall. Why not make it a car-free day out by taking advantage of a combined travel/admission ticket offered by local travel companies.
